Donmar Warehouse is a 251-seat theatre in the heart of Covent Garden, producing a mix of classic revivals and new plays that speak to a contemporary audience. Its community engagement programme, Donmar LOCAL, is central to that work: the programme reaches more than 5,500 young people each year across the boroughs of Camden and Westminster, offering opportunities for creative discovery and bringing participants together to explore stories and new voices through theatre.
Donmar LOCAL is built on partnerships with local schools and community groups, and is aimed explicitly at developing the audiences, theatre-makers and workforce of the future rather than staging a single production or one-off event. The Zilberman Foundation's support for the programme sits alongside its partnerships with Young Vic and the Prince William BAFTA Bursary Fund, part of a wider commitment to organisations that open up theatre and film culture to people who might not otherwise encounter it.
