About the series
Petka Odintsov, bookish and friendless, rescues a striped kitten named Vasily from a tall tree — and the cat repays him with a run of comic mayhem across the neighbourhood, costing one man his job, endangering a professor, breaking up a wedding and bringing about two others. The production consulted the animal trainer Yuri Kuklachev, and three different cats shared the lead role. Released in Russian as Полосатое счастье, and produced by Mikhail Zilberman.
